I was eating in a Chinese restaurant downtown. There was a dish called Mother and Child Reunion. It’s chicken and eggs. And I said, I gotta use that one.

Friday’s Quotes for the Chicks
To those of us who have had Halloween rescheduled to this weekend (and now you know that such a thing can be done) and who are getting completely messed up because the stores are displaying Christmas items and playing Holiday music when we STILL haven’t had Halloween…
enjoy the festivities.
Have fun, get buckets of candy, and laugh with your friends – just be safe.

Back to their quiet graves below.

It takes a long time to grow an old friend.
John Leonard
Our oldest and most frail member of the flock, Digger is now dying and while we have expected this to happen for awhile, it’s still a shock every time we think of a home without his presence. When we pass by his corner, we stop, pet him, and tell him of our love and how very fortunate we are to have had him in our lives.
Hearts continue to break in New Hampshire.

“Friends I will remember you, Think of you, pray for you And when another day is through I’ll still be Friends with You.”
Bill Danoff / Taffy Nivert
Nessa continues to improve and it appears she has regained her eyesight. This is a dog that was just not ready to die this week.
And for those who have asked, yes, her name comes from the book “Wicked” by Gregory Maguire, an absolute favorite in our household.

Friday’s Quotes for the Chicks
I’ve often said that the most important thing you can give your children is wings. Because, you’re not gonna always be able to bring food to the nest. Sometimes they’re gonna have to be able to fly by themselves.
