Marc brought our last chick back to the nest this weekend and while it’s wonderful to see him in the home again, interacting with all of his flock mates, his return raises the age-old question asked by all mama hens whose chicks have left and then returned home again from college.
Where on earth are we going to put all of his college coop bedding that has accumulated over the winter?
As they leave the nest, you put it in the oldest chick’s room, which is now the guest room. I hope we don’t have any guests.
Yup, that’s what I’ve been doing for the past week. It’s like fitting in pieces of a puzzle. I found those space bags are great for bedding and the like … wash his stuff, dry it really well, then stick it into bags and suck the air out of them with your vacuum. Then you can put the bag down in the basement without worry that it will get musty.
Thanks a great deal for sharing this with all people you really recognize what you’re talking about! Bookmarked. Kindly also discuss with my web website =). We can have a hyperlink change contract among us
