Yeck Wendy, so much for any romantic notion about that song! A dead mom with dead almost chicks being consumed for pleasure–not what I had ever thought when hearing that song. Will have to listen to it again. Dark stuff.
Hmm…a note from a sister, though far away.
While I am reluctant to kill our chickens as 1) we have given them names and 2) I am not well-inured to butchering (though I have as a child helped with such), I am not sure it really makes sense to deny our genetic/evolutionary heritage as omnivores.
