I don’t know, there’s just something about chickens that bring out the best in you. Not only do they offer their eternal friendship but with only a slight protest, they get right to their job and get it done so they can enjoy the rest of the day.
Not such a bad way to live one’s life.

Get right to it? Alice, Brownie & the Countess often don’t lay eggs until later in the day. I must have lazy hens.
